Description
Description
The Wilden PS8 Saniflo FDA Air Operated Double Diaphragm pump is designed specifically for sanitary applications. The PS8 has stainless steel wetted parts, 2-1/2" Tri-Clamp connections, and features Wilden's state-of-the-art Proflo Shift technology. The Pro-Flo SHIFT is an upgraded air intake system based on Wilden's Pro-Flo design. The SHIFT reduces air consumption by up to 60% by eliminating overfilling of the air chambers, saving energy and money. The PS8 meets both ATEX and FDA standards, making it suitable for sanitary and hazardous environments. The PS8 is durable, reliable, easy to maintain, energy-saving, and explosion proof. From barrel topping in wineries, to filling chilli sauce, the PS8 is the top of the line in FDA approved AODD pumps.
The Wilden pump lines are highly customizable. We have selected several standard configurations, but if you require a specific configuration or help tailoring the PS8 to your application, please contact our sales team.
PS8 FDA Diaphragms
All diaphragms are FDA compliant and other diaphragms are available upon request.
Traditional Diaphragm
Wilden's traditional "pie shaped" diaphragm is the industry standard for AODD pumps. It is durable and reliable. The traditional diaphragm comes standard in EPDM and Saniflex, but is also available in Wil-Flex, Polyurethane, Buna-N, Neoprene, and FKM upon special request.
Full-Stroke IPD
The Integral Piston Diaphragm (IPD) is a popular choice in the food, beverage, and chemical industries. This diaphragm does not have an outer piston. Instead, the piston is fully integrated into the diaphragm. It is ideal for applications involving abrasive product and harsh environments. The IPD meets higher sanitary standards as the integrated piston removes the cavity between the outer piston and diaphragm found in a traditional design. This also makes it easier to clean. Reduced stroke IPD is available upon request for applications with highly viscous products. The IPD diaphragm is available in Wil-Flex and Saniflex.
EZ-Install Diaphragm
The EZ-Install diaphragm is designed for applications where regular maintenance is required. The EZ-Install diaphragm does not need to be inverted, making it easy to install as it can be accessed without specialty tools. Easier maintenance means less downtime, and lower maintenance costs. This diaphragm is a direct replacement for traditional diaphragms, with the same performance, durability, and footprint. The PS8 EZ-Install diaphragm comes standard in Wil-Flex but is also available in Saniflex, Polyurethane, and Bunalast.
Full-Stroke PTFE Diaphragm
The Full-Stroke PTFE Diaphragm is designed to handle a variety of different abrasive products and aggressive chemicals. PTFE is chemically inert and is recommended for acids, caustics, ketones, aldehydes, and acetates. The PTFE diaphragm has increased displacement per stroke when compared to other diaphragms, resulting in enhanced flow rates and suction lift. This diaphragm has the same hardware and general design as the standard diaphragms, but has a more contoured shape and smooth surface than the TPE and rubber variations. Its unique shape and chemical and abrasion resistance makes this diaphragm ideal for aggressive applications. This diaphragm is available standard with Wil-Flex or Saniflex back-up material, while Buna, neoprene, and EPDM back-up materials are available upon special request.
