Bevel Seat Fittings
Bevel Seat fittings are a type of sanitary fitting that consists of three components: a threaded bevel seat ferrule, a plain bevel seat ferrule, and a union hex nut. These three items are used in unison to create a strong and secure connection for processing equipment and piping. The bevel seat fitting is a classic technology commonly found in dairies, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing facilities. The two ferrules are welded to piping, and the hex union nut is fitted onto the plain bevel ferrule, it is screwed by hand onto the threaded bevel seat ferrule to create the connection. The hex nuts are easy to use and can be maneuvered into place one-handed before being tightened with a wrench, making them especially useful for hooking up hoses to tanks as they keep one hand clear to maneuver the hose.
